It was mid February 2010 when I stumbled across Pot Pie Girl (Jennifer) the #1 Affiliate Training Program in the world, she just seemed so very genuine right from the beginning! I read through her articles, resources, and inspiring story...she was very honest and encouraging. Yes of course, it is very exciting to think of jumping right into internet marketing and making a fortune instantly! But the truth is...it doesn't work that way.

You have to be willing to learn the skills it takes to become a successful marketer, it's a career that takes work but will pay off in the end. When I was introduced to internet marketng, I thought it was about selling products but that's not it. It is about providing valuable and quality information to consumers, let the vendors do the selling! You shouldn't recommend someone a product that you wouldn't use, that would make you NO different than the millions of scammers online today.

The Downside to Internet Marketing
Just like any buisness Internet Marketing has it's pros and cons, so I'll give it to you straight. Watch OUT for SCAMS, we do most our job training in a virtual space and everybody is trying to sell something! When you walk into a car dealership and a car salesman walks up, you know that his objective is to sale you a car. Well...it's the same way with most Internet Marketers, they want to sell you something. And that's just part of the marketing buisness, now should you spend some money to make money? Of course, but there is NO need in excessively spend when you aren't earning YET!
So keep your eyes open, if it sounds entirely too good to be true...then it probably isn't true! Internet marketing can offer you a promising future, but getting rich over night isn't likely. Internet Marketing requires skill, and NO I DON'T mean skills in selling products. What I mean is developing skills that will actually get your site listed in search engines.

Google Site Maps and why EVERY site should have one!

A sitemap is often overlooked, but it is very important for any site that you plan to monetize to have one. Considering the fact that "google" is the #1 site map in the world! It makes a lot of sense to have a "google sitemap", so that this search engine can easily navigate through your site. Did you know that NOT having a sitemap could prevent your website from being indexed? Yup! but luckily these days you don't have to manually build a site map, what I do is purchase my domain and webhosting package from 1&1 (their domains are SUPER cheap) and you simply go to your account settings and click build google site map, and there it is!

1) Navigation purposes

A sitemap literally acts as a map of your site. Chances are when vistors come to your site and it isn't user friendly, they WILL NOT return! I hate to be cynical but I am sure your site isn't the "only one", of it's kind...So it's your job to turn your visitor into a subscriber!
